Halloween decorations

Hi everyone :-D

I am half way done with spookifying my home and wanted to share with you what I am working on.

It is not a custom to celebrate Halloween here in Croatia, but people do celebrate it. Spooky movie as Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, The Addams Family, sweets, bloody deserts, spooky decorations, make up maybe, a lot of candles, pajamas, pillows and blankets... That is how I am going to spend this Halloween. :-D

Yesterday I started to make wall decorations. I am using free templates I found on web (links provided below in supplies list) and self-adhesive foil. This foil is great and I strongly recommend it for wall decorating. Very easy to use, inexpensive and great quality. After removing from the walls, there are no marks or stains left. If you don´t have self-adhesive foil, you can use other materials (follow provided links below for more instructions). These are really easy and fast to make.

Here is a list of supplies I´m using for my wall decorations:

Important notice:
These are not my decorating ideas, neither templates. Full credits go to authors and pages I listed above.
If you are using templates from the provided links, please link back to original post, not on my post. Thank you.

Here is a sneak peek of my unfinished decorated walls. I´ll share more photos next week.

Stay around. I´ll be posting soon. :-D

Trick or Tweet Card

Good evening everyone :-D

Today I made another Halloween themed card and called it Trick or Tweet Card, according to a sentiment I used.

The Cat´s Pajamas Collage Inspiration by Nancy was an inspiration for this card, as well as  {heart} sketches sketch083 with a twist for a card layout.

Image is From the Heart Stamps 'Bewitchin´ Birdbrains', as well as the sentiment.

I printed four From the Heart Stamps 'Bewitchin´ Birdbrains' images on white card stock paper.

First I made background on one image. I colored moon using stencil, aquarell colored pencils and water and grass with aquarell colored pencils and water. I masked moon and colored background with Black Soot distress ink.

Then I colored elements on three images with my colored pencils, white pencil, aquarell colored pencils and black fine liners, fussy cut elements, colored edges with permanent marker and pieced all elements together. I added some transparent glossy varnish to create glossy accents.

For this card I used three different Halloween digital papers by Marie Stones that she shared for free on Free Digital Scrapbooking. I fussy cut two spiders from scraps of printed digital paper, outlined them and decorated card with them.

I made little cat embellishment using cat stencil from Kinder Surprise. I outlined the shape of cat on black card stock paper, cut it out, glued down a pair of googly eyes and covered all cat with transparent varnish.

In left upper corner I draw cobweb with black permanent marker, traced lines with glue and sprinkled over black glitter.

Card dimensions are 15,2 cm x 15,2 cm (6" x 6")

Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone :-D

This morning I made this Merry Christmas Card.

For a card layout I used sketch from Meljen's Designs Design Team and Challenge Blog. This is a sketch designed by Amy Almeida, for current challenge #232.

I printed two Meljen's Designs 'Bundled Little Snowboy' digital images on white card stock paper, colored elements on both images with my colored pencils, white pencil, aquarell colored pencils and black fine liner. After that I fussy cut elements from one image and glued them on the other image, which I fussy cut too. I added a transparent glossy varnish on snowman´s eyes, cheeks, nose and buttons to create glossy accent and pearls around the snowman with pearl-maker.

After I glued down all layers and image, I added three double sided adhesive star shaped foams to the card and sprinkled them with a fine glitter (red and green).

Card dimensions are 13,3 cm x 13,3 cm (5 1/4" x 5 1/4").

Here is a list of materials and tools I used to make this card:
  • Meljen's Designs 'Bundled Little Snowboy'
  • Crafters Companion Bebunni Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper Pad
  • white card stock paper
  • dark green card stock paper
  • Staedtler Noris Club colored pencils (orange, red, pink, green, brown)
  • Koh-i-noor Mondeluz aquarell colored pencils (orange, red, green, browns)
  • white pencil
  • black fine liner 0.5
  • pearl maker (pastel-white)
  • fine glitter (green, red)
  • transparent varnish with extra gloss
  • universal glue

BOO Card

Good evening everyone :-D

Busy busy week behind me, but I managed to play in my crafty corner a bit. I made my first Halloween themed card this Friday and called it BOO Card.

For this card I used two different Halloween digital papers by Marie Stones that she shared for free on Free Digital Scrapbooking. I love all collection she shared there and can´t wait to use them all. :-D

I printed two Meljen's Designs 'Pumpkin Pile' images on white card stock paper. I colored one image with my new colored pencils and aquarell colored pencils (gift from my boyfriend :-D ) and fussy cut it. The other image, I colored with distress ink, aquarell colored pencils (swirls), added glitters and glued cut out image on it. I also added a transparent glossy varnish on pumpkin´s leaves to create glossy effect.

I made little bat embellishment using lovely freebie bat I found and googly eyes. I printed Halloween Silhouette Stickers, free printable from Paper Crave, on white card stock paper, cut out bat, colored edges and eyes with my black permanent marker and glued googly eyes on it. He is so funny. :-D

Sentiment is also freebie I found. I printed Freebie Halloween Ticket Digi Stamp by Kimberly M. Landmesser on Orange Plaid digital paper from 'Gone Orange' collection by Marie Stones, cut out sentiment (it is just a part from original digital sentiment Kimberly shared), distressed edges and glued it to black card stock paper.

Card dimensions are 105 mm x 148 mm (4 1/8" x 5 7/8").

Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card:
