Snow Penguin Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Snow Penguin Card.

I used an adorable 'Snow Penguin' image. He is so cute and fun!! :o)

This was easy and quick created. I made a layout on my computer and printed it out on a white cardstock card base.

My first idea was to create paper pieced image, but I liked a lot my DT mate's Gloria coloring on this card (and her card also), I decided to go with same coloring as she and to create one layer card. Thank you for the inspiration Gloria!! :o)

I watercolored the image with Distress Inks and just a bit water. I colored it simply, no shading. Lastly, I drew some dots and highlights with white pen and my card was finished. :o)

Dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

Peace and Joy Circle Cards (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made these Peace and Joy Circle Cards.

To make these cards, I used GORGEOUS Jane's Doodles 'Christmas Blessings' stamp set.

First I made a card with stripped patterned paper. I liked it so much I made another one using tree bark (woodgrain impression) pattern paper. These papers are form Teresa Collins 'Something Wonderful' Paper Pad.

How I made my cards...

First I cut circles I needed. Here are the measurements:
  • card base: 3 7/8" x 2
  • circle panel: 3 3/4"

I heat embossed in white a sentiment on the patterned paper circle panel, splattered the panel with a white acrylic paint mixed with water and left it dry.

Then I heat embossed in white two poinsettias on a vellum paper, fussy cut them out and glued on the panel.

I glued two card base circles together to create a card base, glued the panel on the card base and embellished it with couple pearls. As a finishing touch I highlighted some splatters on the panel, drew couple more white dots and my 1st card was finished. :o)

Repeated everything for the 2nd card. :o)

Cards dimensions: d = 98 mm (3 7/8")

Reindeer Card (LMMS Inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

It's Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration Week and I made this one layer, Reindeer Card. :o)

To make this card I was inspired with GORGEOUS card created by Sue Hastead of  tanglemouse cards. Lovely scene, gorgeous colors and fantastic coloring. Love it!! :o) You can find Sue's card here. :o)

For my card I used an adorable LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Reindeer Greetings' digital stamp. There are more reindeer images from this collection in LMMS shop and you can find them all here. So cute! :o)

I made a layout on my computer and printed it out directly on a card base, for which I used Canson XL Mixed Media 300 g Paper. watercolored the image with Distress Inks. I colored it five days, each day a bit. No particular reason, I felt that way. :o) First day I colored a background, splattered it with water and Distress Ink. In next days I colored the rest of the image.

Here is a day by day preview...

Lasty, I highlighted white dots in reindeer's eyes, and my card was finished.  :o)
