Snowdrop Card (Uniko Challenge #40 GDT, 2nd project)

Happy Friday! :o)

My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here. I've announced my birthday giveaway winners. :o)

Today I'm sharing my 2nd GDT project for ongoing Uniko Challenge #40. My first project was CAS Crocus Card. If you missed it, you can find it here.

The Challenge #40 theme is Spring with an optional theme Easter.

And here is my today's GDT project: CAS (clean and simple), Snowdrop Card.

To make this card, I used a gorgeous Uniko 'Spring Botanicals - Snowdrop' digital image. The image comes in digital collection of 4 images. Whole collection is free and you can find it here. :o)

I printed the image on a watercolor paper and left it dry couple hours to prevent ink smearing. I colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks and added extra shades with colored pencils. I fussy cut the image, colored edges with black marker, glued 1 mm thick foam tape on the back of the image and glued it on a top folded white card base. I trimmed the image a bit at the bottom.

Next up was a sentiment. I heat embossed in white a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Funny Bunny' stamp set on a black cardstock paper piece, cut it to two rectangle shapes and glued the sentiment on the card with 2 mm thick foam squares.

As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with 3 white enamel dots. :o)
